Morning fly-outs: Kentucky Lake, Confluence of Ohio and Mississippi, Bald Knob Cross, and other interesting sights.
Lunch and dinner: Let us know and we’ll have it provided (see registration for cost), or cook your own over the fire.
Ground transport to: Garden of the Gods an iconic site of southern Illinois, with Forest Service guided tour.
Camp out under the wing: Saturday night and enjoy the comraderie. (Friday night too, for early arrivals).
Sunday: light breakfast and Fly home
Fly in or drive in. Early arrivals Friday are welcome but BYO tie downs, food, and drink. This is primitive camping, but firewood, water, and a toilet are available. No avgas is available at Henderson.
Pre-registration is required and only 30 can ride to Garden of the Gods. Registration closes by midnight March 21 or when 30 sign up. Every pilot intending to land at Henderson Field must have individually requested and received electronically, a valid briefing through the Airfield.Guide website.
The owners make no warranty for the condition of the runway surface or suitability of the airstrip. Use of the field is at your own risk. Illinois Recreational Use Statutes apply and landowner is not liable or responsible for conditions.
